update.

I'm so sorry it has been so long since my last update.
Stacey had her surgery 2 weeks ago,
Our brother Brad and Dad sat in the waiting
room 4 hours until we could see her.
I edited pictures, Brad and Dad made a thanksgiving list
we cried we watched TV and finally we were able to see her.
We all went in then Brad left after a few seconds
I had no idea where he went so i decided to look for him but
could not find him anywhere then I called him and
he was crying he said it was very hard to see her like that.
my dad spent the night and the second night i spent the night and we
played scrabble (I won)!
Our Family Friend Daneen came into town
to help out and we had a slumber party,
no kids and wine : )
We all sat in Staceys bed and giggled like high school girls.
Stacey has Dr. appt. every other day and she will start her chemo on the
14th then she will start radiation.
God had blessed her with someone who believes strongly in charity
and picked Staceys family to give to this year
Christmas gifts for the boys and 2 weeks of meals.
The Dr. say she is very lucky because of her
implant it blocked the cancer from spreading and that
if she never had implants she would have never made it to the
age of 40. Sounds crazy i know but it's true.

Sunday was amazing, it started out so busy that there
was a 40 min wait,
then it slowed down so we could catch our breath.

for 3 nights, her surgery is around 8 am
and i ask all of you to try to pray while she goes in.

Tears of joy

Wednesday morning, the day started out as usual I was getting ready for mom 2 moms
I knew Stacey was not going to work because she was getting
her scan results and she had 2 Dr. appointments.
I called her to see if she wanted to join me and she said she was a nervous wreck
and didn't want to go,then I talked her into it.
Mom 2 Moms is a group of about 100 women who meet at southwest church
we have speakers, breakfast and we have prayer request time.
The speaker was amazing it was about this mother whose child had a brain tumor at
the age of three months and was not suppose to live,
now the baby is 3 and has an 85% chance of living!!!!!
As I looked over at Stacey I could see she was shaking in fear.
Her appointment was at 3:30 by 5 I still had not heard anything.
I tried everything to occupy my time, I cleaned played games called Brad,
then finally my dad called and said
all the results came back GREAT, the cancer is only in her right breast and she is
scheduled to have her surgery next Friday THE 19th.
When I hung up the phone I started to cry, I though why am I crying
then I realized they were
TEARS OF JOY!!!!!

chicken noodle soup is for the soul

Today Stacey is getting a scan that test her whole body for cancer. This made her so nervous and scared that every time she would think about it she would start to shake. She has been so nervous lately that she has a very little appetite.
The best remedy is always chicken noodle soup in bed!
Last night I went over there with homemade soup made by my dads girlfriend
and we laid and watched Brett Michaels life as I know it.
Stacey wrote thank you cards to the amazing people
who sent her cards and donations and I edited pictures
but the whole time, what were we doing
LAUGHING!!!!
When the two of us get together we always get the giggles,
I remember to when we were little and even to this day my dad says
"don't get the giggles"
Stacey and I are both so amazed and grateful
at how people are reaching out to her!!!
PS Stacey when I said don't judge my spelling I was talking to you : )

When it all began.

I want to start off by saying I'm not a blogger, that being said I know a lot of people want to know what is going on with Stacey, just don't judge my spelling : )

Six weeks ago my sister Stacey could tell something was not right with her right breast she went to her OBGYN who told her "it's probably no big deal" but to go get it checked out. One week later she went and got a mammogram and ultrasound while she laid there the doctor was taking deep breaths and she said "you are making me nervous" the doctore said unfortunatley you need to be nervous. At that point she said should we bring my dad in here and he said yes, then she said she though Ashton Kutcher was going to run in to tell her she had been punked....that did not happen, what did happen was they took a biopsey and 2 days later told her that infact it was breast cancer. Three Doctoter Appointments later they are telling her she will have to have a double masectomy and kemo.
Today she met the "Debbie downer" of doctores who had NO good news for her. I will keep you posted on all those details when they come in.

I have to say both Stacey and I have been so touvched with how amazing people have been. I have been brought to tears a number of times with how kind people have been, words can not explaine how much Stacey and I appreciate people who have reached out!!!
